Raise Money for a good cause

You can also engage in a number of different activities to help raise money for our work, and it doesn't have to be just you, you can get your friends and family onboard to help too!

How Do I Fundraise?

Fundraising can seem a little complicated and it can be difficult to know where exactly to start. However don't be discouraged, we're here to help...  We've outlined a simple 5 step process to help you on your way.

01

Identify what you want to do

First of all you're gonna need to decide on what you'd like to do, A good rule of thumb is to choose something that aligns with your interests, hobbies or just general things that you're good at. So for example if you're a fitness fanatic, a marathon or a bike race would be a great fundraising activity choice.

02

Set a Goal

Next, it's time to set your targets! Try not to get carried away, set something that's achievable but also something that will require a considerable amount of effort to reach, that way it'll challenge you and whoever's joining in to find that little bit extra within, and at the end of it all you'll cherish the experience!

03

Promote & Share!

Now you know what you want to do and have your goals in mind... it's time to let people know what you're up to, & thanks to the meteoric rise of the internet and its digital cousins, it has never been easier to promote and share your fundraiser!

WhatsApp, Facebook, emails, these are just some of the things you can use to keep people posted, also be sure to set up a webpage on a specialised fundraising platform like JustGiving so that you give people the opportunity to donate with simply a click or tap of a button.  Always make sure you're keeping people engaged with your progress, a stagnant page can be very unattractive to potential donors, so ensure your pages and posts are regularly updated all the way through!

04

Achieve!

With all the planning and preparation complete, all that's left to do is to fundraise! Encourage friends and family to join in if you haven't already and finally don't forget to enjoy every moment of the experience!

05

Get in Touch!

Finally, let us know how you're getting on, we're always happy to help where we can, whether it's simply advice, or even physical help, so don't hesitate to reach out! Thanking you in advance for your support!

Vit's Fundraising Journey

Read an account below from one of our fundraisers Vit, to find out just how inspiring fundraising can be!

I've been an active guy enjoying various sports activities but the health problems put my hobbies on hold. I had been diagnosed with pre-mature arthritis at the age of 32 and consequently underwent two surgeries this year with the aim to stop or delay further development of the arthritis.

But thanks to the professional team in Circle Reading hospital my recovery is going well

and I was recently allowed to start running again.

It took just a couple of days and I've decided to sign up for 10k race in Queen Elisabeth Olympic park in London on 1st October and shared the enthusiasm with others; we now currently have a team of seven runners and I believe the team is going to get bigger yet."

We all have different levels of fitness but we share the passion to do something good, so we've teamed up with Bressay Outreach, a Scottish registered charity, that provides training and education for the young - at the moment they are working in a rural area of Nigeria. The next big project is building a Skills Training Centre in Zambia (in cooperation with a locally based charity Welfare Concern International, which already has a healthy track record) to equip the young and the unemployed to be self-employed at a time where regular paid employment is very hard to get.
